Steve’s imaginative stories explore a humorous and whimsical future where androids become integral to human life, blending advanced robotics, biotech, and AI with a playful, slightly twisted perspective.
His tales highlight the quirky, cockeyed interactions between humans and AI, inviting readers to ponder the future with a smile.
Lucky has arrived!
"Oh, fantastic! I've woken up in a billionaire's private research institute with absolutely no clue of who I am. Just another day, right?
All of the researchers are women, including a fabulous nurse who must remain my friend, even though my past reputation is screaming otherwise. They're all laser-focused on their latest experiment.
Me!
Apparently, I registered the wrong version of a "Do Not Resuscitate" form, because why not add a little spice to my existential crisis? Also, there's a cleaning droid who thinks he's far too good for his job, and, as if things weren't thrilling enough, my body apparently needs to be switched on. Whatever that means.
I've always found life amusing, but this situation? It's a comedy show I'm struggling to find funny."

I'm asked, "what are your books about?"
My reply is always "Science fiction" but is this really correct?
Yes, my stories are set in the future.
Yes, some of the characters are androids or robots (there is a difference, you know!)
Yes, the human characters sometimes struggle in their interactions with these beings but that is the point.
How will we deal with the inevitability of our lives being enhanced or disrupted by them? Will they serve us, or will they eventually learn so much about us that their imperatives to protect us take over? Will they do what is best for us, regardless of our wishes?
My stories explore the human aspect: the characters' desires and needs, the absurdity of irrational humans dealing with logical artificial intelligence, and the intense focus of the synthetic beings. Some even develop a sense of humour.
Is any of it likely?
The three components of human-like machines are here in 2026: bio-technology, robotics, and artificial intelligence are in their early stages, but progress is rapid and frequently, quantum leaps occur.
My stories begin in the year 2050 and push forward through another 100 years, but if you are looking for faster-than-light travel, weird aliens or ray guns, you won't find them here.
Happy reading...
