Steve’s imaginative stories explore a humorous and whimsical future where androids become integral to human life, blending advanced robotics, biotech, and AI with a playful, slightly twisted perspective.
From his home in Dorset, England, he envisions a world where these artificial beings serve as both helpers and companions, leading to emotional and behavioral shifts that are amusing and thought-provoking.
His tales highlight the quirky, cockeyed interactions between humans and AI, inviting readers to ponder the future from a different perspective.

Is it a coincidence that Steve lives in the same village where Douglas Adams gained inspiration for The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy?
Perhaps there's something in the water.
Lucky has arrived!
Lucky's a charmer with a roguish sense of humour and an acute sense of the absurd.
His past life was a bit suspect, but now he has the opportunity to start afresh.
He's out of his depth, although everyone is at his beck and call to make his new life easy.
His only real difficulty is that he's the unwilling subject of a billionaire's research project that is run by women scientists.
He doesn't know it yet, but he's going to have fun...

I'm asked, "what are your books about?"
My reply is always "Science fiction" but is this really correct?
Yes, my stories are set in the future.
Yes, some of the characters are androids or robots (there is a difference, you know!)
Yes, the human characters sometimes struggle in their interactions with these synthetic beings but that is the point.
How will we deal with the inevitability of our lives being enhanced or disrupted by them? Will they serve us, or will they eventually learn so much about us that their imperatives to protect us take over? Will they do what is best for us, regardless of our wishes?
My stories explore the human aspect: the characters' desires and needs, the absurdity of irrational humans dealing with logical artificial intelligence, and the intense focus of the synthetic beings. Some even develop a sense of humour.
Is any of it likely?
The three components of human-like machines are here in 2026: bio-technology, robotics, and artificial intelligence are in their early stages, but progress is rapid and frequently, quantum leaps occur.
My stories begin in the year 2050 and push forward through another 100 years, but if you are looking for faster-than-light travel, weird aliens or ray guns, you won't find them here.
Happy reading...
